We specialize in tutoring for the following exams and areas:
ISEE, SSAT, SAT, ACT, SHSAT, Common Core, TACHS, HSPT, Hunter G&T, reading, Orton-Gillingham reading instruction,
writing, K-12 math and K-12 science.
We work one-on-one with our students either in-person at home, online via Skype or Google Hangouts, or at our office in Manhattan (located on 18th street).
Jennifer started WhizAce because she's passionate about helping students reach their academic potential. She has been an educator for more than ten years and strives to build strong working relationships with each child.
She started tutoring in college at New York University and found it so rewarding that she continued helping students after graduation. Jennifer has a disciplined yet encouraging teaching style and believes every student is capable of reaching his/her goals. Some of her favorite subjects to teach include Algebra and Geometry. She has years of experience and familiarity with test preparation for the ISEE, SSAT, SHSAT, Common Core, Regents, SAT, and ACT exams.
Jennifer is an experienced educator specializing in test preparation and academic enrichment. She helps her students strive for a fundamental understanding of math or a deeper level of reading comprehension. She's also trained in the Orton-Gillingham method and can work with students struggling with reading both in school and for standardized exams. She has had tremendous success (with great students that worked hard) over the years helping students with exams or their academic work.

Elijah is passionate about mentoring and teaching students science and math disciplines. He started tutoring students as a math instructor at Mathnasium when he was in high school. Elijah is currently a chemistry instructor at NYU STEP (Science and Technology Entry Program), an innovative pre-college program for talented and economically-disadvantaged high school students.
He’s also worked with undergraduate students as a teacher’s assistant for a chemistry course at New York University. He aspires to become a medical professor, melding his two passions of teaching and science. He’s on track to reach his goal with a degree in Biochemistry from New York University, significant research experience at NYU’s Molecular Design Institute and COBRA Lab, and extensive teaching experience.
Elijah has expertise in science and math instruction and can help students in the following subjects: AP Chemistry, IB Chemistry, AP Biology, IB Biology, Physics, Calculus, SAT Math, ISEE Math, and SSAT Math. He strives to instill confidence in his students, enabling their success. Elijah’s students find him to be an engaging, caring and patient teacher.

Brennan specializes in increasing student achievement in academic content areas by implementing the latest best practices in his instruction. Brennan's lessons include goal setting, metacognitive strategies, and executive functioning supports. He is passionate about both building relationships with his students and creating efficient and compelling learning experiences that meet each students’ needs.
Brennan is an educator at a private school in Manhattan that specializes in teaching students with exceptionalities. Before his current role, he taught and tutored students in various grades. Brennan holds an undergraduate degree in elementary and early childhood education as well as a masters degree in K through 12th-grade special education from the University of Nebraska.
Brennan has expertise in special education, and reading and writing instruction and can help students in the following subjects: reading (including the use of the Orton-Gillingham method), writing, college application essay writing, SAT Reading, SAT Writing, ACT Reading and ACT Writing.
